I am a feminist artist exploring, sexuality, beauty, queer culture and the natural world. My artworks combine elements of drawing and painting and I take my time to explore the textures and layers of paint on the substrate. By using use emotive, saturated colour and gradients of light, I aim to create an essence of the divine in my work. I make art that acknowledges the super power and life giving properties of the Yoni, and life within the female experience. My work responds to societal erasure, censorship and the impact of the patriarchy on the lives of those who identify as female. I desire to empower the viewer and influence their perception of beauty by encouraging them to seek a viewpoint outside of the orthodox social constructs. When people experience my work, I want them to experience beauty and divinity, not erotic objectification or sexualization of the vulva.
