This painting by Emanuela Volpe presents a conceptual artwork that deeply connects to the feeling of love, interpreted through the allegory of color and shape. The choice of calligraphy as a visual technique allows the artist to give a literal body to Pablo Neruda's poem, "The morning is full of storms". The words, translated into Italian, are organized in bright red vertical lines that drip and converge in the center, giving life to an intense, almost pulsating heart in the center of the composition. The predominance of yellow as a background, with its greenish hue when observed for a long time, represents a refined metaphor for the vision of lovers. This optical effect induces the observer to perceive something "more" than what is actually visible, suggesting the idea that lovers see beyond appearances, finding hidden meanings in their object of desire. The red heart, composed of intertwined words, symbolizes the center of the lover's emotion and thought, while the yellow background - symbol of vitality and energy - almost becomes a mirror of his state of mind.
