ABOUT THE ARTWORK

It is a beautiful and balmy afternoon, so you can soak up the sun and have a cappuccino, or an espresso, and read your paper. You can watch people or have a wonderful conversation from a seat in a cafe. There are hundreds of little spots to sit and enjoy. I am so inspired by the master work of Pissaro's Parisian scenes. His constant renewal and continuous approach tell me that I am on the right track to create scene after scene I love the work of Maxfield Parrish and Claude Monet and use their working methods as a departure point for my painting. I always try to paint on fine weave linen using glazes for depth and richness, and I follow the time tested principles of painting using archival materials on stabilized linen to create a painting that will last centuries
