The painting is the second dedicated work in a series of fifty works dealing with the hermeticism and alchemy of Michael Mayer's Atalanta Fugiens. In this painting, Mother Earth is represented in a symbolic and surreal key, feeding the Son of the Philosophers. To the right of the composition there is a capital with the statue of the founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, suckled by the mythical she-wolf, while on the left there is a base with the statue of Jupiter suckled by a goat and a hermetic inscription useful for observer to learn more about the hidden meaning of the picture. The painting, if really understood, helps the personal and spiritual evolution of the observer; the symbols contained therein act in the depths of human interiority and gradually release high moral awareness. The work was painted with the classic oil technique by superimposing numerous layers of color as in the Renaissance and is accompanied by a stamp and certificate of authenticity.
