Kazmina Anna Aleksandrovna was born in Mariupol, a city famous for its shores of the Azov Sea. At the moment this city is under occupation. Anna showed an interest in drawing back in her school years, and since then she began her difficult path as an artist. Since at school she was subjected to severe bullying from teachers and peers, drawing became her only “safe haven” that helped her abstract from all problems. The artist began her creative journey by creating portraits in pencil, and then began to try different styles of artistic painting. When Anna came of age, she moved to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, which was reflected in her work: a collection of paintings was created dedicated to this city. Life in the city of dreams turned out to be difficult: Anna had to overcome all difficulties and go against the system, because none of her relatives supported her endeavors. Her close circle instilled stereotypes that an artist should be hungry, and her hobby was not taken seriously. Anna repeatedly tried to give up art and convince herself that this was not her path. However, having looked for herself in other areas, she realized that she felt out of place there. The artist realized that her calling was to bring benefit through art, to delight people with bright and cheerful paintings. This awareness became the basis of her inner protest, which is clearly expressed in her unique style. Protest against the framework, rules, system of “birth, study, hated work, death.” Anna wanted to prove that you don’t need to push yourself into a box and follow other people’s expectations. In her opinion, only the heart can tell you how to live your life correctly, because we only have one. Her work is often criticized for not conforming to the strict rules of painting, but Anna always maintains that art should bring joy and express freedom, and not be reduced to a soulless adherence to rules and the fear of making mistakes. Despite the military conflict in the country, Anna's paintings are always filled with bright colors. She says: “I don't want my paintings to be gloomy, reminiscent of all the terrible events happening in the world. I want to convey positivity through creativity, to remind people that, despite all the difficulties, life goes on.”
