This painting is the latest in my gold series. It was inspired by my local wheatfields at the end of a long hot summer, and going into autumn. A little about me… I’m a contemporary artist based in the UK. My artistic journey began at Cheltenham College, where I cultivated my artistic skills and developed a profound love of painting. Within my art studio, which is nestled within the gorgeous landscape of South Wales, I paint landscapes with wild flowers, seed-heads, grasses, trees and hedgerows. My artistry merges traditional art techniques with my own unique touch, using acrylic paints, marbling inks, and gold leaf on canvas. I draw inspiration from the gentle whispers of nature during walks in the British countryside. Through my art, I seek to offer a sanctuary of peace and tranquility in a chaotic world. With every brushstroke, I strive to create not just art, but moments that honour our ancestors and their stewardship of the land. I love to connect with the traditional symbolism of the flowers I paint, whilst also noting their ecological importance within our lives. My paintings are more than just images on a canvas; they are invitations to connect, to feel, and to embrace the beauty and fragility of life. Whether it's the whisper of a breeze through a meadow or the quiet resilience of a single seed-head, each subject speaks to the gentle soul within us, inviting us to pause, reflect, and remember moments of awe at the beauty of the natural world. As I continue on this journey of creativity and compassion, I am humbled by the opportunity to share my art with others. It is my greatest joy to know that my art has touched many hearts, offering comfort and inspiration. My artworks have found homes in collections from America to Australia.
