About The Artwork

In this picture I used two color groups. Group of warm colors: Raw Sienna, Permanent Red Orange, Brown Stil de Grain. Groups of cool colors: Grigio di Payne, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine. I chose the colors transparent because in connecting with each other offer a lot of different tones. Transparent color can also use a white background without using white paint.

My inspiration is the world of nature, and human feelings in contact with this world. I paint landscapes, real and abstract. Our visual and mental world is diverse and connected with each other... I am looking for a form to express my feelings. I was born in Poland, in Krakow to be precise, in 1966. This is where I live and work. For quite a while, I have been working on a series of paintings titled "The Vistula River Landscape". I use diverse paint textures to depict changing images of water in the river when the weather and light changes brings to my mind paintings by Claude Monet, very close to my heart. I completed MA studies (painting) in Fine Art from Krakow Academy of Fine Arts and graduated with distinction in 2007. I was granted a scholarship of Polish Ministry of Culture for year 2003-2004. I was decorated with Medal of Academy of Fine Art in Krakow in 2010. I was awarded an award of distinction by ''Sztuka.pl'' magazine in art competition organised by I. J. Paderewski Foundation in 2010.
