ABOUT THE ARTWORK
During a fall trip to Italy (specifically Cortona in Tuscany), I woke to see the village of Camucia below completely engulfed in low lying clouds. This acrylic painting was done from the watercolor study I did on site. I hoped to keep the same free and loose style of the watercolors. This scene took my breath away and even though I finished the study fairly quickly, I have to admit I lingered a very long time soaking up the scene as well as prosecco, fabulous olive oil, truffles, vegetables, speck and cheese.
