ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"One of the alternative stories about Lucifer tells that the day came when God presented a new assignment to the hosts of his angels: the most arduous and ungrateful of all. It was in fact necessary for an angel to attribute to himself all the faults and sins of men, which accepted that he was insulted and cursed by men themselves and that he renounced all his virtues and beauty. It would be said of him that he had wanted to rival God and had lost and that he had been expelled from heaven. This role had to be played until when man would not have realized that all evil originates solely from his own selfishness. All the angels hesitated, but then in the silence the voice of one of them was heard saying to accept the assignment: this was Lucifer. " Icon of absolute evil but, in this case, representation of the "bearer of light" who gave himself, forced to live in darkness, abandoned by his God.

A lean style that manifests the pain of living, the discomfort that this society brings with it. In the simplification of forms, the subjects become defenseless bodies that are unable to react to external forces; they would like to scream, but they can only become aware of their state and bow their faces. Desolate landscapes surround, even nature does not find itself; bare trees, which, while sinking their roots in the ground, do not generate life.
