ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired to paint this picture by visiting Venice and seeing all of the masks in the shop windows. Masks hide the truth and I like to use them as a metaphor and thought provoking metaphor. Oil paint for me offers a texture that is unique to the medium and dries slower than acrylic.
