ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This picture is inspired by the memories of childhood. At that time, my mother, my brother and I lived with my grandparents in their old three-room apartment, there were ordinary windows with wooden frames. (Patterns doesn’t appear on plastic windows) My parents divorced, when I was 9 years old, therefore we lived with our grandparents for quite a long time — about 10 years. On the one hand, it was a hard period, but on the other hand that’s when I learned how to catch beautiful moments and see the beauty in the little things. To feel the very HAPPINESS, when you’re petting the cat, reading a book in peace, drinking tea with chocolate or playing cards with the granddad. To see the very BEAUTY in the frosty patterns, the storm sky, in the red autumn leaves or in the blue butterfly pin, which my mother gave me. I remember on New year’s Eve my brother and I сut out snowflakes of papers, climbed onto the windowsill and glued them to the windows. And you know, there were always patterns on them, as the winter in The Urals, where I lived most of my life, — was fierce. I so loved to look at them! And I was always thinking: "If I had a camera, I would take photos of all the patterns, all the sky ..." For me, this picture is the same frosty pattern, the same «beauty in the little things» and the ability to get a grip and be happy at any moment with a twist of a spanner. On top of that, the painting glows in the dark, thanks to the use of a luminescent medium, which makes it magical. Interesting fact: all my paintings I'm creating when my child (Sarah) is sleeping — in the most valuable moments of time for young parents. Therefore each of the picture is filled with energy of joy and spiritual upliftment. Fluid art has become my meditation, my freedom, my happiness, and I want to share it with you ...

Kristina Vinokur was born in Kirov, Russia in 1993. Like many other lucky people, she managed to turn her hobby (drawing and playing music) into a profession. In 2020 Kristina got married and gave birth to a daughter — Sarah, then she moved to Prague with her family, where she lives and works at the moment. Currently, the main areas in which Kristina works are fluid art, which is dedicated to the series of works «Magic exercises», and also cloud landscapes in various styles. But according to the artist herself — this is just the beginning. "I’d like my art to become my voice, my way of communicating with the world and my way of influencing on it. I’d like to touch on important social and environmental topics, and change the world for the better together with you."
