About The Artwork

Mandala Waves (1999) This painting's radial op art structure creates an intriguing visual effect. The concentric blue circles pulsate in perfect harmony with our brain waves, producing a mesmerizing experience. As we focus on the center of the pattern, we may observe expanding circular fluids and oscillations. The repeating shapes and contrasting colors create an illusion of motion, which adds to the painting's allure. From a psychoanalytic perspective, the pulsating circles could symbolize the cyclical nature of life. The expanding fluids may represent growth and transformation, while the oscillations could signify the ups and downs of human experience.

Hi, I'm Gianni A. Sarcone, an experienced interdisciplinary artist and author who has been developing new visual concepts and showcasing my work for over two decades. My ultimate goal is to spark wonder in my audience. Growing up in a family of artists, I've been surrounded by colors and visual experiences my entire life. I find inspiration in everything I see, read, or touch, whether it's a movie, newspaper, or even while cooking. I always carry a pocket notebook to capture these ideas, as I believe ideas are the foundation of my art. I'm a cross-disciplinary artist skilled in various mediums and tools, but the final impact is what's most important to me. I am recognized as a leading authority on visual perception, specializing in Kinoptic art which, through playing with our optic nerves, creates illusions of colors, dimensions, and motion. Using a palette of elements such as blank spaces, XOR and negative spaces, geometric textures, space tiling, and patterns, I aim for maximum visual impact with minimal intervention. Precision is key in my creative process, as even the slightest change can significantly modify the visual effect.
