ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Mangroves not only captivate with their majestic appearance, but also contribute to the stabilization and health of their environment. As an advocate for supporting the environment that serves as a natural habitat for living beings, I appreciate the many benefits that mangrove trees provide, such as a nursery habitat for marine animals, a contribution to local seafood abundance, a shelter for a number of wildlife species such as birds, deer, and honeybees, and a nesting site for shorebirds such as herons and brown pelicans. Maintaining the health of nature ensures a balance in our environment and contributes to the quality of life for all creatures.
