Modernity Print

Thanks for watching. This modern painting is about our towns and cities. In the past villages will be depicted surrounded by landscapes and green fields. Van Gogh or Millet will draw farmers and rural life. That is not so common now. This is my interpretation of a current city, in blue, and with whimsical neon lights going on. Its impastos were achieved with heavy body paint applied with spatula or knife, resulting in a modern look. Since it is mid-sized, it can be hanged up by a simple nail, just centered. It is finished with a glaze of transparent UV acrylate (or varnish), to protect it from sun and dust damage. It looks fine without a frame, (although it could be framed). I hope you like it too...
