ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork has been inspired on a volcano located in Tenerife island, one of the Canary islands (Spain). The name of the volcano is "Montaña Roja" which means red mountain, that is the reason why I painted in mix of red tons under the mountain. I did it in a figurative way, drawing the shape of the mountain as a triangle and also painting a sun as a spiral; both are common symbols in the old traditional island culture. The spiral means the infinite, the beginning of life and the move of the starts, while the triangle refers to the number 3 and the figure of god.
