I paint to evoke vital energy, the vibration of color and pattern, the connection between the artist and viewer, and the movement of the mind-- the adjustments of the camera's aperture or the eye's iris--coming into focus, asking "What is this?" "How does this feel?" "What does this mean?" and participating in some storytelling, in relation to what's seen. This painting to me: Makes me think of a flock of birds moving in a murmuration or cloud, where they seem to be linked together and move as one
