From ancient times the image of a woman was the personification of beauty and inspiration. The female image, as a fundamental archetype of the development of human consciousness, has always been the basis of creativity I decided to paint a female portrait, which would embody a generalized image of the muse of fine arts - this is the main idea and the most important part of the plan. While working on the painting, I tried to combine a plastic solution with an idea and create a mysterious, fairy-tale image of a muse who would be like a princess from Zaretsky's paintings, Princess Swan from Vrubel's painting, who lives in the magical world of art. I decided to supplement the image of a fairy-tale girl-muse with the attributes of art in order to create a general mood of creative search, which precedes inspiration. In one hand, the muse holds a brush that symbolizes the creative impulse, and in the other hand - a color palette - the plane on which the magic of creativity. Behind the muse are colored draperies and still life - attributes of art that are present in every workshop of the artist.
