ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Near the palace of Prince Menshikov in Baden-Baden. I like to notice the strange, almost abnormal in life, and portray it directly from nature in paintings. One of my “global” topics is “cars in the city”. It would seem, well, what's unusual about that? But it depends on what kind of car and in what city! If you see a car, for example, in Venice on San Marco, it will be abnormal. My friend Rainer from Baden Baden, Germany, has a very beautiful huge blue car, which he ordered in the USA. She even took part in prestigious races, and then he bought her. But in old Baden-Baden with its narrow streets and endless serpentine roads in the mountains, such a car looks like madness. And yet Rainer himself, with his 130 kilograms of net weight, fits perfectly with his car. And when he stopped the car on the lawn near the 19th century palace of Prince Menshikov, I realized that you can paint a wonderful picture. For my paintings, I use oil paints and linen canvases of the best world companies so that they are perfectly preserved forever.
