ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I liked that word which I first read in an article by a psychologist. It describes people who enjoy thinking of others as bad, greedy, and stupid, who consider any enterprise to be pointless, and striving for something as doomed to fail, and think greatness is unachievable - "nothing ever changes". However, any and all people really do have such incredible potential that thinking this darkly is entirely unnecessary. 70×50cm acrylics, coloured pencils, and collage on paper. It's one of my largest paintings in years (and also took me, I think, three years to muster up the courage to finally do it), and features tiny bits of collage for the butterflies of paper as well as small bits of acrylic pourings I collected during my experiments with that technique.

Jennifer S. Lange is a self-taught artist creating illustrations for books, games, posters, and worldbuilding projects using a range of media from digital 3d modelling to traditional charcoal drawing, using figurative realism in small formats. When not working on projects, her SFF work is accompanied by story snippets providing a look beyond the frame of the image.
