New Day #2 Print

We've all had struggles and challenges that sometimes tax us to our limits, to the point that we can hardly remember a time when the problem was not casting a shadow on our lives. But there are moments of grace when God creates a permanent, positive change, as described in the song "New Day", sung by the Christian trio, the Martins (2 sisters and their brother). The paintings in this series are my expression of gratitude for the gift of grace that has lightened my soul, my life. If you, or someone you love, has received a similar, life-changing gift--or if you're praying they might--then this painting is for you! This painting began as a watercolor collage on Arches paper, mounted on canvas and over-painted in acrylic. As you can see in the details, the collage includes (copies) of Scripture passages from 1 Corinthians, John 4:11, Ephesians and a Letter from St. Paul to the Romans. The painting has been given a satin varnish for protection. Hanging hardware is already installed.
