ABOUT THE ARTWORK

What is the most inspiring thing for any person? The answer is Life. A simple, routine life with periods, seasons, growing up, feelings... Being inspired by childhood (his own and in the whole), Andrei combines imagination and reality and captures it on his magnificent paintings which evoke fond memories of old days. "Everything that I do is connected with childhood, with the small rooms in which we lived. With the sun falling on the floor, with Christmas trees along the Stankovsky highway ... This is what I rely on. It is in me, and that’s it." In nostalgia lies the secret of artworks by Andrei Zadorine, because we become not only viewers but participants. We can feel, again and again, the same feelings as in our childhood: run across the forest, jump on the rope, carefree sitting on the beach, and of course worry about relationships with parents, friends, and loved ones. From the one gaze of the painting hero, we can understand the story and compare it with our own life experience. Watercolors by Andrei Zadorine it's like a movie about everyday and routine on the paper or canvas
