My art stems from an innate need to create. I have lived in many countries and each of those places has left its mark on my identity, pushing me to better understand my own nature, local cultures, and the kind of art I want to make. My figures emerge from a process of fragmentation and healing, of grappling with doubt and seeking connection. That sense of connection also fuels my landscape work, which is borne from a deep love and appreciation of the natural world. Each piece is unique, a moment captured, an emotion, a tension between uncertainty and release. As a mixed media artist, I’m fascinated by the interaction of textures and materials. Experimenting with different media and techniques is an essential part of my creative process. Abstraction is the foundation of my work; it’s a visual tool I use in varying degrees to communicate or highlight perceptual patterns and ideological constructs that shape both my life and my art.
