About The Artwork

I shot a series of photos on a trip to Dachau near Munich. I feel in love with the pensive moments in these photos and started to overlap those memories with other related imagery to get this pensive and emotive feeling. The painting is done in oil paint and is fairly textural. It was painted on unstretched canvas but will be put on strecher bards before shipping. It is painted with high-quality oil paints such as Old Holland and Williamsburg. It is on primed linen canvas.

Jessica is originally from New York and has lived in 5 countries. She calls Germany her home now along with her husband and two children.
