ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Palmella was created from a series of works that were inspired by Kew gardens and the ecosystem that they grow in. The complexity of the structures is amazing with the juxtaposition of the feeling of calm and sereness in the environment which was felt whilst being amongst it. It made me remember that through chaos, peace is still possible and I think this is important for many aspects of our existence. I want to reflect this feeling to my viewers and I want them to feel that amazement over nature, and feeling this connection with nature and our environment.
