About The Artwork

Xu Bin's original oil painting, titled "Parallel World II," transports viewers into a world beyond our own, one where the impossible becomes reality. Inspired by science fiction, Xu Bin's painting explores the concept of parallel universes, asking the question: Is there a world out there like ours, filled with people like us who are enjoying life to the fullest? In this parallel world, apples grow as large as tires, and they are the staple food for the people who inhabit it. With great joy, the hardworking people pick the delicious and juicy apples, a symbol of hope and abundance. Xu Bin's painting portrays a utopia, where everything is perfect, and everyone is content. The world is free and unfettered, with birds singing joyfully in the sky. Xu Bin captures this image perfectly, painting the scene with stunning detail and color. His use of light and shadow creates a sense of depth, making the world feel as if it exists beyond the canvas. Xu Bin's unique artistic expression is on full display in this painting, as he uses his climactic painting skills to present this world convincingly before our eyes. The apples are so realistic that you can almost taste them, and the birds seem to take flight off the canvas. The painting invites viewers to step into this parallel world, to experience the beauty and wonder of it all. But beyond the fantasy lies a deeper meaning. Xu Bin's hope is that we can all live in a world like this, one that is beautiful, harmonious, and hopeful. Through his art, he urges us to work towards this goal, to create a world where everyone can enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like picking apples and listening to the birds sing.

I was born in 1969 in Guang'an, Sichuan, China. I graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Southwest Normal University and became a freelance artist afterwards. My early works were mainly oil paintings, influenced by Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists such as Monet and Seurat. Through continuous learning and creative practice, I gradually integrated the artistic essence of Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Chagall and other artists, and combined with my own Chinese cultural background to develop my own mature artistic style.
