ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Picture "Paris in Kyiv" from the series "Kyiv, which no longer exists". I decided to portray Kyiv as it was 100 years ago. It is the centre of Kyiv, capital of Ukraine depicts on the picture. At the beginning of the XX century, Mykolaivska Street (now the architect Gorodetsky) became "Kiev Paris" with magnificent residential and public buildings, each of which is a unique monument of architecture. The first left building - The Continental Hotel was burned during a fire on Khreshchatyk street in 1941. On the basis of the remnants of the hotel was built a conservatory - the National Music Academy now there. White building in the centre - The only two-story circus building in Europe called "Hippo Palace" was also destroyed during the war, owned by the horse trainer PS Krutikov, The first large-format cinema "Ukraine" was built in its place in 1964. The upper entrance to Khreschatyk metro station was arranged In the building of the former furniture factory of I. Kimayar in 1970 Picture was exhibited on my personal exhibition in Kyiv. There 3D tour I will happy if you visit my personal exhibition " Kyiv, which no longer exists"
