ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is from my favourite and maybe my most honest series of paintings "Daydream Series". They are purely intuitive paintings that start with lots of wild and fun application of paint and mediums. I stand back listen to the painting, the story begins and then develops in the hours and days of working in to the painting. The subject of pilgims comes up repeatedly for me. I am fascinated by the power or circumstances that pull people to make incredible journeys; I am especially interested in spiritual pilgrimages; the power that pulls and the hardship and complications of the journey.

I am a retired high school art teacher and now a full time artist. I live in a very rural, wild and beautiful part of British Columbia, BC, Canada.
