Pioneer Homestead Print

I grew up on this farm in the Bulkley Valley in BC, Canada. My fascination with the old log buildings that are crumbling and disappearing, demanded that I create a foreground to include a house and a barn. People who are familiar with making hay will recognize that the round bales are a modern creation, thus creating the passage of time; the barn's peak features a style required for moving loose hay rather than bales. I gave the original painting to my sister who also grew up there.
