Lizzy Forrester is a British born artist, a resident of Spain she spends her time between her studio in the North West of England and her home in Altea, on the Mediterranean coast. Art, drawing, painting has been a passion all her life, though she is self taught and only came back to painting in a more decisive way, in 2006 after a "spiritual retreat". Reticent about her artwork, "hopefully the paintings speak for themselves: it's about portraying an emotional state, the energy I feel surrounding us, in nature, everywhere." "If my work can reach out and touch somewhere deep inside, then I have more than accomplished what I set out to achieve." "Feelings, emotion, the unseen fleeting 'energy' is what motivates me to paint, often arising from stumbling on a scenic view that takes my breath away. If it makes me gasp, I want to paint it"
