I live and work in Ukraine. My passion is portraits. I paint people because man is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me. I am interested in contrasts and do not avoid anything that is in human nature. Art for me, should reflect human character and emotions. I mostly focus on subjects that affect the collective. Like pain, defiance, anxiety, frustration, empathy, passion and optimism. I like working with acrylics. Acrylic fits very well with my method. I am interested in both the illusory aspect of painting but also the physicality of the medium. I create works from the borderline of post-impressionism, expressionism and surrealism, still seeking synthesis through analysis and inversely. I admire Turner, van Gogh, Aivazovsky and Kandinsky. Their paintings are deeply striking. Bright, powerful colors and clean lines are evident in all my works. Finding the perfect colors and their combinations is a long journey.
