ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Year 2023 Oil on canvas with frame without frame. The work aims to investigate the state of protest in the female world. Protesting, provoking is moving something from within. Leading to reflection on an uncomfortable topic whose assumptions and prejudices are difficult to unhinge. Siding on the right side very often the weakest, discriminated against who has suffered oppression. Using simple gestures and no violence that cause an echo and have more than a thousand daggers to do with it. The inspiration comes from the protests involving women under the Taliban regime in Iran. Women, life, freedom is the cry that opens the gestures of protest to those who want to crush the freedom of life of those who are guilty of being a woman.
