About The Artwork

Turntable *P20190905 From the "Dance in the forest" series.. You can see the video process here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w2ORbao_Ss In his paintings René Serrano writes with a Self-created calligraphy over textures, forms, or portraits to talk us about time, music and challenges in life. René creates works which highlight those wonders of daily life that go unnoticed; the moments that shape our trajectories but are so minute, they are often times overlooked. His works revolve around ideas about banal events and he views daily life challenges as an altar for meditation and fascination. This fascination translates to pure logical forms like a circles as backdrops or layers to his calligraphy forms, maybe a kind of Glossolalia. The harmonious compositions are a tribute to the passage of time in a person’s life, a life that is shaped by Challenges, Interactions, occurrences, and encounters that color our realities and affects our decision making.

Psychographic artist with Hypergraphia My research is about a passage of time in a person’s life that is often shaped by challenges, interactions and encounters. I explore the relationship between graffiti roots and fine art academy to represent the music as a measure of time. The incorporation of my psychographic calligraphy describes secret poems in every canvas.
