Painting: Acrylic, Marker on Canvas.
I got inspired by a video of the Korean artist, Ji Ah Jang. She is conceptual artist who led feminism art in Korea past decades. I saw her video work that several woman peeing while they stand up with now but there was a tiny conversations in interview structure with the artist.
I thought about power dynamic and wild grass field that seem abandoned and almost futile.
I used archival markers and pens to draw some parts in the painting. I use Guerra paint which is high fluid pigment that I mix with acrylic mediums that shows various surfaces in my paintings. I want viewers to experience the monstrosity of figures to be something that they can imagine with and how freaky and toxic colors with body elements. Those narrative devices convey both humor and intense level of seriousness to the viewers. Additionally, I hope that they feel the conflict, complex, excessive and other kind of emotional illusions as well as they create their own imagery.
