Series of portraits and nude paintings, painted in 2019 in Athens. The title stands for latin phrase “quod erat demonstrandum” which yields “what was to be demonstrated”. In philosophy and mathematics means that the argument is complete. As exact or natural science goal is to find an order in things around us and explain world in a language of logic the same aspiration can be find in arts. Painting can be study and an attempt to amplify use of colour as an artistic form in order to purify the impression. Following Polish Kapists tradition I tried to disengage esthetics from the context by choosing an academical topic like nude body as a base for artistic experiments.

Aleksandra Osa was born in Poland in 1988. She graduated Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2015 in Faculty of Painting. Her works have been featured at solo and collective exhibitions in Poland, GB and USA. Aleksandra has experimented with several mediums, such as acrylics, ink, gauche, but the oils tend to be her most preferred medium. In her works the artist attempts to interpret reality thorough her own artistic resources, simultaneously maintaining a semblance of realism. Her art is inspired by her own environment, treating the subject merely as an excuse for the search of artistic form. Aleksandra was working as an animator for Loving Vincent project.
