ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Mandala is an image on the surface or a construction of several elements intertwined with threads. Its geometric shape symbolizes order in the spiritual, cosmic and emotional aspects. Despite the fact that in Buddhism the mandala was mainly used in meditative practices, in ancient times it served as a symbol of a kind of navigation and showed the way for believers to sacred places. In Sanskrit, the word "mandala" symbolizes "circle", as it has a concentric structure, despite the fact that it may be based on squares or triangles. The mandala symbolizes the striving for a spiritual center, in the structures of many temples and stupas. A distinctive feature of all mandalas is a high sense of harmony between all its constituent elements. By itself, it is aimed at radiating and portraying divine harmony, opposing this to the confusion and disorder of the material world around us. Carl Gustav Jung believed that the mandala is an archetypal symbol of human longing for psychological interaction with others. Many researchers also believed that it expresses a spiritual journey outside of one's own self.

Whether it will be positive and bright or negative and gloomy depends on the individual's perception of his own experiences. I paint every moment of my life on canvas with a dot. Thus, I cognize my true Self in the projection of the Universe. My name is Ksenia, I'm from Ukraine. I am an artist and designer, graduated from art school and the Institute of Design. I own the classic technique of watercolor painting, black and white graphics ink and pen. My paintings were exhibited at the state exhibitions of Ukraine, there were also personal exhibitions. After graduation in 2006, I became fascinated with spiritual practices. And it completely changed my life. I moved to live in another country in Georgia. After a trip to India, I opened a mandala channel. In 2015, I began to draw mandalas in the Dot Painting technique. All the mandalas I paint in meditation. I never know what the mandala will look like at the end. Each mandala is unique. No mandala can be re-drawn, just as you can not return the last moment.
