ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“Realistic abstraction. Dance of the Pink Peonies.” - oil, canvas, 100x200(cm), artist: Tatjana Cechun, 2024, Vilnius. Made on canvas with oil paints of the professional series "Master class" from the factory "Nevskaya palitra". Single and original author's painting. ♥This realistic abstract painting depicts large pink peonies and their buds gently falling into the water. The petals of the flowers create an effect of lightness and smoothness, breaking the surface of the water. The splashes and waves that arise from the fall give the work dynamism and expressiveness. The dark background contrasts with the bright pink tones, enhancing the impression of the composition and adding depth. This work conveys a sense of the beauty of nature and the fragility of the moment.

I was born in the capital of a small Baltic country in a family of artists 51 years ago. I've been drawing since I was a child, as long as I can remember. I was friends with a neighbor boy whose parents were also artists. That's why he and I grew up in a creative environment. Perhaps such an environment (poets, artists, musicians, artists) influenced my development. I drew always and everywhere, and often automatically (unconsciously) . At the age of 17, after graduating from high school, I, as is typical of young people, was a terrible maximalist. It seemed to me that I already know everything and know how to do everything. My parents wanted me to continue my studies at the Art Academy.
