ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“Realistic impression. Forget-me-nots in a basket..” - oil, canvas, 60x60(cm), artist: Tatjana Cechun, 2024, Vilnius. Made on canvas with oil paints of the professional series "Master class" from the factory "Nevskaya palitra". Single and original author's painting. ♥The painting "Forget-me-nots in a basket" immerses the viewer in an atmosphere of tenderness and simplicity. The canvas depicts a carefully woven basket filled with bright blue forget-me-nots. Each flower radiates vitality, and their thin petals seem to flutter in a light breeze. The deep background creates a contrast with the brightness of the flowers, emphasizing their beauty and fragility. The sun's rays, breaking through the leaves, give the scene a sense of coziness and warmth, evoking memories of summer and joyful moments.

I was born in the capital of a small Baltic country in a family of artists 51 years ago. I've been drawing since I was a child, as long as I can remember. I was friends with a neighbor boy whose parents were also artists. That's why he and I grew up in a creative environment. Perhaps such an environment (poets, artists, musicians, artists) influenced my development. I drew always and everywhere, and often automatically (unconsciously) . At the age of 17, after graduating from high school, I, as is typical of young people, was a terrible maximalist. It seemed to me that I already know everything and know how to do everything. My parents wanted me to continue my studies at the Art Academy.
