There are remains of some moments and moods which I seek and try to recreate on different pretexts. I try to immerse myself in that past again. There is a certain joy or plenitude which doesn't stop at the concreteness of the experience. The beauty or the good go beyond the feeling of dew from the grass touching your feet and the pleasant bright hue of leaves. I make use of the texture of the jute trying to guide the viewer towards a reading in the key of sensations, not the merely physical ones, but those which transcend. ​ I dwell on the memories and the bonds between the body and its environment. Feet are recurrent elements in my compositions. I perceive them as receptors of some additional senses which help me perceive more than my immediate surroundings. They are privileged: you cannot feel with your hands what you can feel with your feet. They carry so much information by themselves that they become characters on their own.
