ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting was a challenge to myself to paint directly from my imagination without any reference. I entered a sort of dialogue with the, piece, listening to what is needed. Balancing what the work needed with my techniques. Ideally, I want my viewers to feel a combination of peace and awe from this.I tend to enjoy creating landscapes with analogous color themes and wanted to create a red themed painting. I was surprised with the vibrancy.
