The Himalayas have always inspired me to ponder upon my life's journey. I visited Leh laddakh in 2005. I have painted the azure blue lakes, monasteries, lamas, the prayer flags. Hi! I am Suruchi, a dreamer, a thinker and a painter. I paint what touches my heart and fascinates the mind. My Style In my 4th year of B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) I started painting my own subject i.e. ‘Ants’. I found inspiration in their boundless energy and the motive of carrying on against all adversities. After creating a 100+ works on ants I moved to a broader subject which has been a source of inspiration for all humanity- Nature. One subject gave away to another and my creative journey progressed, helped by my travels, experiences, I painted incessantly the following; Himalayas, monks, prayer flags, self portraits, starlit skies, girl in the world of pots, dancing figures, ancient sculptures and designs. My ‘woman with a turban’ has become an iconic and signature style. After completing B.F.A. I returned home to Nagpur, where I pursued M.F.A. at Lalit Kala Vibhag of Nagpur University. I take pleasure in showing my works, I find it completes the circle of creativity.
