ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Ancient ruins hold a fascination for me, and the Romans have probably more sites around the world. They are still to be found in Spain, England, France, Greece, Turkey, Jordan, Israel, and Morocco.Tunisia, and Egypt. Whew! I love the work of Maxfield Parrish and Claude Monet and use their working methods as a departure point for my work. I always try to paint on fine weave linen using glazes for depth and richness, and I follow the time tested principles of painting using archival materials on stabilized linen to create a painting that will last centuries
