About The Artwork

Ongoing series were the the relationship between the stage and the subject play a leading role. The friction between the dream, the stage and the person. The manipulation of the photograph and the space around it are both used as physical properties to bring the image closer to the original experience. The photographs start as objective realities, but trough various ways of manipulation they open up for reinterpretation. This piece was created in Århus, Denmark. 2015 An inkjet printer was used to print the mirrored image, before it was transferred to the canvas using acrylic paint. Hanging hardware is included and the work is ready for hanging. No framing needed. The picture was taken as documentary photography by the artist, all the manipulation has been done analog. The original photograph was shot during a bodybuilding competition in Denmark. This is an original artwork.
