About The Artwork

ENGLISH - In this creation, Wabyanko reflects on the theme of road safety. Taking up the articulation of the famous little girl with the balloon of Street Artist Banksy that you may know. On this painting by Wabyanko are placed in a minimalist style the elements of the decor in order to focus on the content of the message. The pedestrian crossing is represented in inverted colors, here black on white aggravating the interpretation, reminiscent of the bars of a prison. The triangle-shaped road sign forming one body with the shape of the pedestrian crossing, recalling the importance of attention warning of the presence of a school and children nearby and therefore of controlling the speed of the vehicle. Then, we see, as if out of the panel and out of life, children holding a balloon testifying to speed limits, an image of respect without causing fatal incidents. We can see a boy and a girl flying with a balloon, flying in the sky can be on the road to heaven rather than on the road to school. What can we do ? we can all do! Note other works by Wabyanko take up this theme, including that modeled on the pedestrian crossing of Abbey Road where the Beatles are fragile eggs ...
