I believe that the only true, ultimate reality that we are able to experience is that of the internal mind; any artwork that we come across is a reflection of the intimate inner-workings of a person's mentality. For me, creating is the most effective way to mentally shed. It is incredible that what can feel like undecipherable, chaotic thoughts can unwind, travel and flow through the body and transform into a tangible, visible 'thing' that fits within the limitations of a canvas.
