ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is a comment on easy it is to be captured by the engrossing apps on your cell phone, causing you to unconsciously lose awareness of everything, creating an artificial environment that traps you. You are welcome to see it as some guy just looking at his phone though. To me, that is one of the great things about making art. The artist has a vision and story to tell but once the creation is finished it takes a life of its own where every viewer gets to add to its story. Every viewer has their own history that gives them their own perspective to interpret what it means to them. That is the most beautiful thing about any piece of art for me. That excites me. I framed and primed six canvasses at once, which this is one of, three small ones that ended up making “The Trifecta” ( ) and three of this size (two of those are yet to be completed). You can see that they all have the same underlying color palette. See if you can find the earbuds. Purchase NFT at:

Greg Hausler was born in New York but raised in Kansas where he graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. During his time at college, he developed his signature technique of using articles of clothing and other textiles instead of linen canvas for his mixed-media abstract paintings. His non-traditional use of painting media is influenced by Marcel Duchamp and street artists while his painting technique draws inspiration from Jackson Pollock and Claude Monet resulting in a style of work that is uniquely his own.
