Selfportrait. Round. Print

This work is part of my series of self-portraits. Initially it was made as my mother birthday gift but she rejected it because of a fight. This self-portrait represents perfectly the way I feel when dealing with my mother: my mouth is tightly closed, my face is round, I look almost like a clown on this painting. Nevertheless I use bright colors to demonstrate the joy that my inner child feels when being with my mother. The golden color shows the meaning of the importance of this relationship. As all the other pieces in this series, this work has elements of deconstruction and fragmentation of the human body. It shows that we are not just one integral object but we are made of different parts.
