ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is one of a series of works I made recently picking up from and continuing to explore abstraction that I started in 2004. The intention was to give up some of rather rather rigid control of materials and technique that I had learned i n art school. Using thinned acrylic paint poured on to heavy duty watercolor paper I allowed the paint to run and puddle where it would. These works are a celebration of the spontaneous, the unexpected, the accidental in nature and in art.
