ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The work, painted on an old painting, encourages you to look at two agendas of our time at once, the environmental problem with recycling, and also encourages you to look at the old in a new way. How often do we perceive old events differently, over time, or subsequently significant events in our lives, as if painting them with new colors? The same goes for this artwork is painted with new, bright acrylic paints! The intense contrast of warm and cold tones catches the eye and makes a crazy impression on the viewer. Filling him with bright feelings and a sense of beauty. And the defiant and bright color gamut is reminiscent of Skittles sweets. An abstract painting comprised of 1 panel: 45/60/2,5 cm Painted on premium canvas with professional quality acrylic paint. Signed and dated on the back The painting comes rolled in a tube for extra safety. *The lighting, screen display settings, or cameras may cause discrepancies between colors in-person and online. If you are not sure if the colors of this painting are exactly what you are looking for, I would be happy to provide more photos of the painting.

My works are a visual version of movement and energy, or rather my way of conveying my love for movement and dancing through a completely different, partly even opposite type of art. In my works I express my feelings, energy, love, passion and even mystical experience. The colors that I select for each of the works seem to come from within and ask themselves to pour out onto the canvas, unceremoniously and even brazenly, boldly declaring: "this is where we belong”. And I'm just a conductor between the energy of inspiration and its physical embodiment. My hand is often compared to an energetic dancer of modern ballet, who spins in pirouettes on a canvas stage, sometimes impulsively, sometimes smoothly manoeuvring on the surface. I am inspired by travelling, cultures and experiences that I acquire, whether it is a hike in the mountains, a shamanic ceremony, a music festival, a theatrical performance or simple conversation with positive people. And of course movement, movement, movement... Namely - the movement that led me to what I am doing and developing now - the genre of gonzo art. As a youngster who had just crossed the threshold of adulthood and gained the opportunity to move independently around the world, while hitchhiking in Europe and hiking long days in the mountains and forests, I read books by such masters of the pen as Jack Kerouac and Hunter Thompson. What inspired me most about them was their courage to throw themselves into unknown situations and convert it with incredible enthusiasm into gorgeous manuscripts, often literally written on their knees in the thick of unimaginable things. Apparently even then I registered deep in my subconscious, that eternal search for drive and adventurism, and handover it through my art. Most of my pieces were created, literally in the first hours, and sometimes during all those experiences described above, under the influence of the first emotions and at the peak of hormones after all. A significant part of my works was written during performances with the participation of dancers, thus creating a powerful connection between the world of dance and drawing, between introversion and extroversion, between people and colours, as well. I draw to inspire! I believe that each of us leaves a trace in history and imprints in the memory of people in his or her life.
