It is very interesting to know what our soul does when we sleep and our mind ceases to control our body. Perhaps, when we sleep, our soul lives, and when we wake up, the soul falls asleep. Who knows what reality is and where is it real? The painting depicts a liberated soul. While the body is resting, the soul can fly uncontrollably wherever it wants. The sleep of the mind does not give rise to monsters, as in Francisco Goya, Sleep gives the soul the freedom of unconscious dreams. The idea for this painting came to me while traveling through French castles. They are so ancient and mysterious. Their walls hide many ancient ghost stories and strange occurrences. The tones and style of the interior are borrowed from the ancient castle in the city of Po, the castle of King Navarre in 1572 and France in 1589. The painting is done in a classic style.
