Quiet and frosty winter evening. A rare soul dares to step outside the threshold of a warm house. At the same time, a very beautiful evening, a wonderful view of the snow-covered courtyard. A path through the trees, leading somewhere to a distance. I was inspired by this state of nature, the weather in a frosty snowy winter. The days are incredibly short, the sunsets are fast. And you don't have time to enjoy the daylight. Feeling as you are caught in the snow kingdom. This cold seemed to have stopped time. But although, this is my favorite yard, which I admire every day. The artwork is painted from nature, pasty and juicy strokes. Calm palette, delicate shades of blue, purple, blue, green and blue. The artwork can be attributed to classical realism. Oil on canvas on plywood, 2017.

Searching for my own path in painting took me a certain time. It has passed nine years since my first attempts to paint. However, during last several years I have started feeling self-assured, as my works reached desired level of skilfulness and artistic approach, and I really started liking them. Currently my love to post-impressionist artists' paintings became especially strong. I am often inspired by the works of Vincent van Gogh, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Edouard Vuillard, Albert Marquet, and Latvian artist Janis Valters. Most of all I value coloristic beauty of their works as well as the artists’ ability to show the weather conditions and the state of the nature with one brush stroke. Now I look into the future with greater confidence, think over new creative plans, and expect fulfilling them!
